The opposite to addiction, is connection. Lets be clear: devices and apps are designed specifically to create addiction by utilising the same neurological pathways as gambling. Your new practice is to unplug. As much and as often as you can.

That means no phone. No tablet. No laptop. No TV. For at least an hour or few in the evening with your beloved. Not only is this crucial for presence and connection, it gives you back time, energy, and attention to build relationships and engage with your life.
